Christie and Shane’s Memorial Day weekend wedding was extra special because we photographed Christie’s brother’s wedding two years ago!  Booking weddings of friends and relatives of past couples is so rewarding to us because we love seeing the families again and knowing that they truly enjoyed their wedding experience with us!

Christie and Shane are from Indiana state, and shooting their engagement session ended up being cold and rainy since they were only about to make it home in December.  Their wedding day, however, made up for it!  They had the most beautiful weather, completely with a thunderstorm perfectly timed to Toto’s “Africa” at the reception!

One of our favorite things is when couples add meaningful details and traditions to their wedding celebrations.  Christie and Shane are both fans of the Indy 500, so their entrances included racing flags.  They also had cups from their favorite pizza place back in Indiana that doubled as favors!   Christie’s ring was also one of my all time favorites!

Their wedding day celebration was beautiful, heartfelt, and proof of the strong bonds that their families have!  We wish Christie and Shane a beautiful life together!!!
